Details: The BKF butterfly chair was first developed in 1938 by the three architects Antonio Bonet, Juan Kurchan and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy (BKF), who created the chair for an apartment building they designed in Buenos Aires. In 1940 the chair was shown at the Salon de Artistas Decoradores exhibition and was here discovered by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, where it has since been part of the collection. The director of design at MoMA named the BKF one of the “best efforts in modern chair design” and the chair has since received multiple awards and recognition all over the world. The above Polo London seat cover is made by hand in its country of origin, Argentina, and the thick leather cover is made from the same leather used to make Polo boots and saddles. Unlike cheap cotton seat covers and replicas you will find in stores or online, this seat cover is superior in quality and will last you a life time. It ships directly from Argentina in about 6 days.
